Abstract
The article focuses on the memento mori of Tadeusz Kantor, a Polish painter, artist, designer and director, in his theatrical and photographic works. Kantor has created the light to darkness concept in explaining the transitioning of death to life. Moreover, Kantor has been known for his capacity to preserve the image of her mother by printing the photo in a nylon sack.
