Abstract

This article explores the use of Lomogram Image Cards as a dramaturgical tool for fostering creativity across diverse cultural and linguistic contexts. Developed from photographs taken with a Lomo Kompakt Automat camera, Lomograms produce unpredictable and evocative images that serve as prompts for storytelling, playwriting, and performance creation. Rudakoff discusses how these images provoke immediate, personal responses, inspiring new perspectives on familiar narratives. Through case studies and international projects, she demonstrates how Lomograms facilitate cross-cultural artistic collaboration, expanding dramaturgy beyond textual analysis to embrace visual and sensory engagement as a means of generating theatrical expression.
