Abstract
The article examines the work of the Portuguese artist Helena Almeida. Particular focus is given to her work that bridges the practices of photography and performance. Additional topics discussed include her use of drawing and painting in her work, her use of the color blue in her art and her training at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon.
